Free Non-Contact Rugby Fun
Area students are invited to join the Birmingham High School Rugby team on Thursday, April 10, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Derby Middle School to play some non-contact flag rugby – no experience necessary!
Flag Rugby
Like Flag Football – Only More Fun!
The team is holding a fun introduction to rugby passing and rules and running non-contact flag games for boys and girls in 9th to 12th grade.
Program Schedule
- 5:30-6 p.m.: Check in and intro to rugby rules and passing.
- 6 p.m.: Break up into teams and start playing flag rugby.
- 7:30 p.m.: Recognition of the winning team and wrap up with some food.
- 8 p.m.: Conclusion.
There is no cost to participate. All you need to do is complete the registration form here and come on out for a run-around. Be sure to bring cleats, mouthguard, and wear workout / athletic apparel.
