Practice Cancelled Today / Transportation to Tomorrow’s Match

Due to continued rainfall and oversaturation, Birmingham Public Schools has closed all of its fields today. That means practice is cancelled for today.

It also means we won’t have a chance to have a discussion today about any lingering transportation needs for players that require rides to our game tomorrow against the Toledo Junior Celts (Scott High School, 2400 Collingwood Blvd, Toledo, OH 43620). We need to leave directly after school between 3 and 3:15 p.m. to accommodate the hour-and-a-half travel time. We are trying to warm up at 4:45 p.m. for a 5:30 p.m. kickoff. We need to be done with our game by 6:30 to allow the next one to kickoff.

We are playing real rugby (15v15) and need all of players to make the trip. It would be a shame to have to play short because a player didn’t have a ride to the game.
