BucRugby Update: Week of February 1, 2026
We are entering our second week of indoor training, and we have two sessions scheduled –
Monday, February 2, from 8-9 p.m. at the at Pinnacle Performance Center (512 Park Street, Troy, MI 48083). The center requires visitors to complete and submit a waiver (see link below) to be able to use the facility. So, please accommodate this requirement so we can have everyone on the turf for an hour on Monday. Please note that we would like our student athletes to arrive around 7:45 p.m. This will allow us to be ready to take the field at 8 p.m. to leverage all 60 minutes of our rental time.

Thursday, February 5, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at Birmingham Covington School (1525 Covington Road, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301). We are back in the gym working on basic skills and running development games.
While the topic of waivers is on the table, please consider filling out our team packet, which is attached and available on our website’s Forms page. This player documentation is required by our team to allow players to participate in contact drills, scrimmages, and games. In addition, player jersey and short sizes are pulled from it. While having your team packet turned in is not a requirement to attend practices, it will make them more fun.
If you are in the mood to fill out even more documentation, I would appreciate it if student athletes that are committed to joining the team this spring would register with USA Rugby. This is our national governing body (who also manages our USA Olympic team) and all players must be registered with USA Rugby in order to participate in any scrimmages, games, or tournaments. Instructions on how to register can be found on our website’s Forms page. Please note that the registration fee is completely separate from our team participation fee.
In the meantime, keep recruiting and bringing interested student athletes out to our indoor practices.
