BucRugby Update: Week of February 15, 2026

Midwinter break is here and the team is on a brief hiatus until our student athletes return to school the week of February 22. While we are off, we encourage our students who are not in winter sports to squeeze in a couple of workouts or a jog if they can. We hit the ground running when we get back with a joint practice and mini-scrimmage with Brighton High School on February 24.

To get ready to return to rugby the week of February 22, we would be most grateful if you would consider the following –

• Please register with USA Rugby. This will allow you to play in the February 24 indoor mini-scrimmage with Brighton High School. Direction on how to navigate the USA Rugby registration process can be found on the Forms page of our website.
• Please consider completing and turning in your player packet. This forms packet can be found on the Forms page of our website. Having your player packet turned in will allow you to participate in all of our drills and skills activities during our practices.
• Please put the joint practice and mini-scrimmage with Brighton High School on your calendars for Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 6:15-8 p.m., at 4740 Bauer Road, Brighton, MI 48116. Due to road construction and traffic, it will take us an hour to get to Brighton’s new indoor turf facility. We also will need to provide our own transportation to this pre-season program. So, please start talking about rides.

We head outside to start our regular season training soon! Before you know it, we will be traveling to East Cleveland for the Northcoast High School Rugby Festival on March 20-21.
