BucRugby Update: Week of March 10, 2025

The weather is finally turning in our favor, and none too soon. We have a big week of preparation coming up to get ready for the Northcoast High School Rugby Festival on Saturday.

New Practice Time & Location

Spring sports are taking over the Groves turf fields this week. So, we are moving practice to Norup International Academy in Oak Park for the rest of March. Daylight saving time is now in affect, which gives us the opportunity to move practice back a half our to a 5:30 start time. This will enable our volunteer coaching staff to get to practice on time from their various places of employment.

Our regular season start is just three weeks out. We hope to see fresh faces out at practice this week, as well as more consistency, to continue our rugby skills development. An updated season schedule is posted on our Forms page.

Northcoast High School Rugby Festival

We will be traveling to Mentor, Ohio (East Cleveland) on Friday night to play two games at the Northcoast High School Rugby Festival on Saturday, March 15. We still need more players to make the trip, as well as drivers. Please let me know if you are not on the travel roster and are planning go with the team. In parallel, let me know if you are a parent making the trip and can help transport players.

Whether you are making the trip to Mentor or not, this is an important week of practice. We hope to see everyone out for a great week of practice.
