BucRugby Update: Week of March 23, 2025
It is Spring Break week and the team is on hiatus until Monday, March 31. We will hit the ground running next Monday with practice at our regular season location – Pierce Elementary, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. We will be trimming the back part of practice off a little to allow our players and coaches to get over to the Sidecar Slider Bar in Birmingham for our team social and fundraiser.
Practice Location for the Rest of the Season
We are finally able to get on the Birmingham Schools field on Monday, March 31 for our first regular season practice. We will be at Pierce Elementary, Monday through Thursdays (excusing game days), from 5:30-7:30 p.m., for the rest of the season. We hope to see some fresh faces at practice, now that we are within the school district.
Team Social and Fundraiser
Family, friends, fans, players, and alumni are invited to join us at the Sidecar Slider Bar in Birmingham for our annual Team Social and Fundraiser night on Monday, March 31, from 7-9 p.m. The generous Sidecar management is donating a percentage of the food bills to our team during this two hour period! In addition, we will have team apparel available for sale. So, come on out and grab dinner and catch up with us!
Northcoast High School Rugby Festival
The team had a successful trip to Mentor, Ohio, March 14-15. Our players took on Mentor High School and Orchard Park and came away with two wins. More importantly, the team gained valuable experience and built team chemistry.
In the meantime, enjoy the break and we look forward to coming back ready to prepare for our season opener on the road against Howell High School on April 2 in Howell.
