Man of the Match: Ronin Schlesener

Michigan State University Rugby awarded team t-shirts to the Birmingham and Rockford Men of the Match.

The Bucs traveled to Lansing on Thursday, April 16, 2026, to play Rockford High School’s second team in a friendly East-West Division 2 crossover match. While the results of the game weren’t in favor of Birmingham, senior Eightman Ronin Schlesener did everything he could to try to change that outcome. His aggressive determination from kickoff to final whistle earned him Man of the Match honors from Michigan State University Rugby Team leadership who observed the game.
